Policies

Policies have to be changed if we would like to limit or reduce space debris.

Firstly, we need to specify the requirements of the design of a satellite before it is launched into orbit. The design must prevent operational debris which is parts discarded from a satellite over its lifetime. The satellite must have its residue energy sources by having a shorting electrical system and deleting unused propellant systems.

The second policy change is to fix the lifespan of a satellite to 25 years and terminated at the end of it. This acts as a prevention method for potential future space debris.
